The Master of Business Administration Degree Program (MBA-ONLINE). NNU's MBA-ONLINE program is a generalist program in business administration. The delivery of the program is designed for the working adult who is willing to commit to an intensive period of study covering 16-18 months.
Program Delivery. The cohort model is used for class organization. A group of students, a cohort, moves through the courses of the program as a group, thereby forming a community of learning which provides support to students and faculty who study together.
Students take three courses each semester. Two courses are taken simultaneously the first nine weeks of the semester, then one course is taken for five weeks. The typical MBA student will spend 25-35 hours per week involved with the program.
Online Students . Research associated with adult learning reveals that some students excel at online learning while others do better in a face-to-face learning environment. Successful online students are characteristically independent, are able to learn from reading and from online communication, are self-motivated, and are comfortable with the technology.
Computer Requirements. Students enrolling in an NNU online graduate program must have access to a robust computer and communication system which will allow them to access course materials and communicate with professors and fellow students. The system must have at least the following equipment and capabilities:
PC or Macintosh with sound capability and media players;
Internet connection;
Browser;
E-Mail capability with individual access; and
Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Database, and Presentation software
